I’m in my room freaking out about how to edit audios using garage band, how to add intros and outtros, and how to add fancy effects to what I create.
Which brings me to this issue of perfectionism and how it shafts our abilities as content creators. We are outshone by the need to be perfect that people wonder who we are and what the hell we do.
I like to do something that most people don’t do. I seek out people who have been witch hunted by internet bullies. I delve into Instagram posts and Facebook pictures of celebrities who are hated to get a glimpse of that makes their skin so tough and impenetrable to insults. I obsess over how many stars have cut their teeth into the modeling, acting, and fashion industry at such a young age. How they have been able to schedule time for personal growth…and still have time to play the game.
At the end of the day, I realize that these people have something in common; they’re not afraid to be human.
They are not afraid to show their vulnerability. They are, in fact, leading a cause and changing the way social media is used.
In this podcast episode, I delve into some of my fears, why it has taken me so long to share my voice, and my plans for the future.
In this episode, I talk about:
- My biggest fear and perceived imperfection: what stopped me from podcasting and videos. You’ll be surprised to learn what it is!
- Why I changed my podcast name from Trailblazer to Get Seen, Get Hired, Get Paid.
- My thoughts on the future of blogging and what content creators can learn from it.
- How the MO brand is moving forward in all this.
